A Representative from Virginia; born in Virginia, birth date unknown; completed preparatory studies; member of the Virginia state house of delegates from Ohio County, Va. (now West Virginia), 1798-1804, 1806, and 1807; elected as a Democratic Republican to the Eleventh Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative John G.
